Udine is a lively little town, perfect to explore on foot or by bicycle. The historic centre, Venetian in character, is a much-loved destination for the local population as well as for tourists, who fill the city especially at the weekend.

There is no shortage of monuments of interest — such as the Castle, the splendid Piazza Libertà and the welcoming Piazza San Giacomo —, as well as cultural attractions offered both by the city museums and by the various theatres.
